Just Vlog It- April Challenge

We’re BACK!  Just Vlog It…April Challenge coming your way with a bullet.  The March Just Vlog It challenge was such a massive hit that Heather and I have decided to go forward with another test of your vlogging brains.  But before I give you this month’s theme (keepin’ ya keen, you know), let’s review what you should keep in mind should you choose to enter the Just Vlog It challenge…

• We’ll give you the theme, you do your best to record something that fits the bill.  You can be as creative as you like but don’t feel that if you don’t have state-of-the-art video editing software and CGI graphics that you may as well not even bother!  Oh contraire, mon frère!  Sometimes the simplest, shortest vlog can catch our attention and may just win you the April title.  Bigger is not necessarily better.
• Do your best to adhere to the time limit:  around 4 minutes should be your maximum.  This can be tricky but you CAN do it!  If you’re over by a minute or so, we’ll be ok.  If your vlog suddenly is lingering on for 10 minutes, we’re going to have to pass on it.  Heather and I have to watch all of these videos so if everyone takes 10 minutes, we’ll have to put our children in child care in order to get them all viewed!
• You’ll have just over a week to record, upload, post and email us the link to your post.  This is plenty of time, we think.  If you’re having issues, please contact us to let us know.  We ask that all post links are emailed to us by midnight Tuesday 13 April for this month’s challenge.

• Monday 5 April- theme announced
• Tuesday 13 April (midnight)- deadline for emailing your post link to justvlogit[at]hotmail[dot]com
• Wednesday 14 April- reviewing by Heather & I
• Thursday 15 April- Public Voting for the top 2 April Just Vlog It entries hosted at Notes from Lapland
• Friday 16 April- Winner Announced!
• Monday 19 April- Just Vlog It Carnival hosted at Cafe Bebe

“What?” say you…  “What does this mean??”

Well, our intention is for you to make us something crafty or edible BUT if you’re being CREATIVE you can make us: laugh, cry, think; dance, try, scream; jealous, want, need.  You make the call!  Here’s a conventional example of the theme…one I prepared earlier…Please disregard the fact that it’s a bit longer than 5 minutes!  Of course, I’m not eligible anyway (darn)…

MUK LUKS- A Vlog Review

The world of Twitter can be very small indeed.  In December, I stumbled across someone tweeting about MUK LUKS.  I clicked on the MUK LUKS profile and found out they were based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Wisconsin is my home state and my brother happens to live in Milwaukee!  Weird.  I tweeted with Amanda from MUK LUKS and she offered to send me two pairs of MUK LUKS for review on Cafe Bebe.  I received them right before Christmas and had great weather in which to test them.  We’ve had tons of snow and ice and rubbish cold here in England this winter which greatly assisted in the testing process.  I bring you my video review of my MUK LUKS experience.  Below the Vlog window you’ll find links to MUK LUKS…do check them out if you’re looking for stylish boots and slippers that will keep your feet warm and your bank balance intact.
