A Day Out with Daddy

DaddyDayOut A Day Out with DaddyToday was a brilliant day. A Day Out with Daddy!

Hubby had a few days of holiday left so he decided to take the beginning of this week off to spend with his two favourite girls. Tomorrow is Hubby’s birthday so we’re heading out again to enjoy what will hopefully be a sunny, warm, delightful day full and fun, smiles and giggles.

Today, however, Hubby and I walked Little Miss to nursery before heading out on our own little saunter around the village. Hubby finds it hard to TRULY take a day off so while he ventured into work for ONE meeting, I got a bit of work done myself. We collected Little Miss at 1:00, popped to the village shop for a sweetie and then headed to one of our favourite places, Burghley Park in Stamford.

We did a bit of a photo shoot for The Gallery theme for this week (Trees). Well, Hubby and Little Miss were none the wiser but I managed to take 37 pictures of trees. All on the BlackBerry. I don’t think they look too bad…here’s a sneak peek!

DaddyDayOut2 A Day Out with DaddyIt’s days like these where I wonder why I spend any time in our house and remember how much better I feel when I get out in the fresh air and get some exercise. We finished the afternoon with a late lunch at a cafe in Stamford where Little Miss weighed in on how much she enjoyed our day…

DaddyDayOut3 A Day Out with DaddyI wonder if we can somehow manage to afford having Daddy off with us every day? Hmmmm…

When You Just Smile

Smile Collage When You Just SmileMy Little Miss lights up my life. There are some rather morose lyrics to the song “Smile” by Nat King Cole. I’m chosing one snippet of a line from that song which means the most to me. “When You Just Smile!” But it’s not just Little Miss who lights up my life…oh no!

Mark collage When You Just SmileMy husband Mark makes me smile nearly every day too! He’s silly and goofy and lovely and tender (shhh…don’t let him know I told you that…he’s got that English reputation to uphold!). He gave me my Little Miss and is an amazing father. I watch the two of them and see the love there and that makes me smile.

MeLittleMiss When You Just SmileAnd finally, that illusive photo of Little Miss and Me! It doesn’t happen often, as I’m usually the one taking the pictures. But when we’re lucky enough to be eating ice cream, the two of us sure do smile!

These SMILE oriented photos were compiled in support of Tara Cain’s Gallery on her lovely site, Sticky Fingers. See if you can guess what the theme is???

The Two Loves of my Life

After a rather difficult week and a nice break from blogging and tweeting, I feel loads better. I’ve spent some quality time with my daughter and husband and been reminded that, really, all you need is love! Thank you to Mr Cafe Bebe and Little Miss for reminding me of that!

Cafe Bebe returns to normal service starting this next week. You can look forward to a review of the Citroen C3 which I had the pleasure of test driving as well as the Cafe Bebe Family’s adventure with our Soda Stream! There will be smiles and happiness from this point forward. Thank you for reading and for your loyalty and support!

The Man in My Life

Posted by on May 11, 2010 in Blogger Love, Gallery | 30 comments

Cafe BebeMy husband is the most important man in my life.

He loves me through all my neuroses, supports me in all of my pipe-dreams.

He’s given me everything I’ve ever wanted.

My husband is an amazing father.

He goes on rides even though they make him want to hurl.

He supports our daughter and will make sure her pipe-dreams become a reality.

I love you sweetheart…thank you for being everything we need and more.

Cafe Bebe

Cafe BebeOnce again, another brilliant theme from the creative genius Tara Cain at Sticky Fingers.  This week the theme is MEN.  I had slightly more grand ideas for this one but lack of technology prevented my doing them.  I love sharing my hubby with you, however and I hope you enjoy a few of the more recent photos I’ve taken.  Thank you Tara…you are an inspiration!
