Green & Blacks chocolate

A few weeks ago a delivery came from an angel the postman.  He brought me 8 bars of glorious Green & Black’s Chocolate.  I carefully opened the padded envelope and gingerly laid out the bars of liquid gold.  Harps were tinking in the distance.  I knew that my hubby, a definite chocoholic, was going to be most pleased with my acquisition.  The lovely angels at Green & Black’s have been reaching out to parent bloggers in an effort to educate us about quality chocolate and all that comes with it.  I was more than happy to accomodate Green & Black’s.  What follows is a vlogging review of my Green & Blacks experience.  I highly recommend sampling 8 bars a bar of Green & Black’s as soon as possible…you don’t know what you’re missing!

The process of tasting a Green & Black’s chocolate bar is rather involved but extremely satisfying.  Try it for your next dinner party.  Your guests will not be disappointed.  I can assure you that neither my husband nor I was disappointed with our glorious Green & Black’s chocolate bars.  I’ve earned a few brownie points now, in fact!

• STRENGTHS:  The cupcakes we received for testing were absolutely lovely.  We received 12 cupcakes- 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate.  The cupcakes arrived in plastic containers which prevented them from being tipped over or damaged.  The packaging was impressive as well.  The plastic cases were secured with paper in a heavy-weight box tied with lovely deep purple ribbons.  It made for a lovely present.
• WEAKNESSES:  Even though I am usually a chocolate lover, I preferred the vanilla cupcakes.  The chocolate were great but the vanilla were OUTSTANDING!  This is the only weakness I could find, which isn’t much of a weakness, if you ask me!
• OPINION:  Having cupcakes arrive on your door in a gorgeous box for your next occasion is a brilliant idea.  Having those cupcakes taste amazing as well as be packaged nicely is a bonus.  Go on, you know you want to order some!

Cake Shop Corner

Through Twitter I have met some amazingly creative people.  Some of these people, like Amy Lane of Cake Shop Corner, have given me an opportunity to witness their creativity first hand.  I was a “guinea pig” for Amy in her initial foray into shipping her gorgeous cupcakes.  I received a lovely shipment of 6 cupcakes and loved every morsel of them.

• STRENGTHS:  The cupcakes were moist and tasty and arrived the next day after being shipped.  The decoration on the cupcakes was simple and elegant.  Ordering cupcakes from Amy Lane is a brilliant idea for your next party.  Your guest will love the taste and be suitably impressed by the decoration.  Good luck trying to pass them off as yours!
• WEAKNESSES:  Any time food items are shipped, there is potential for a bit of damage.  Due to the difficulty in finding a reliable courier, Amy has postponed her shipping option for the time being.  However, Amy will deliver if within her area.
• OPINION:  It would never have occurred to me to order cupcakes and have them shipped…a real novelty.  Cupcakes are the perfect compliment to any occasion and ordering through Amy of Cake Shop Corner will not be a mistake.  From perusing Amy’s gallery of cakes and cupcakes, she is a very talented baker and decorator.  For your next occasion or coffee morning, give Amy Lane a go…you won’t be sorry!
