MUK LUKS- A Vlog Review
The world of Twitter can be very small indeed. In December, I stumbled across someone tweeting about MUK LUKS. I clicked on the MUK LUKS profile and found out they were based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wisconsin is my home state and my brother happens to live in Milwaukee! Weird. I tweeted with Amanda from MUK LUKS and she offered to send me two pairs of MUK LUKS for review on Cafe Bebe. I received them right before Christmas and had great weather in which to test them. We’ve had tons of snow and ice and rubbish cold here in England this winter which greatly assisted in the testing process. I bring you my video review of my MUK LUKS experience. Below the Vlog window you’ll find links to MUK LUKS…do check them out if you’re looking for stylish boots and slippers that will keep your feet warm and your bank balance intact.

I found some more GORGEOUS GOODIES that you just must check out! When asked to sample some of the offerings at Gorgeous Goodies, I was more than happy to accomodate the lovely Jan. The Gorgeous Goodies website is lovely and calming with soft colours and beautiful images. You won’t mind “window shopping” through the Gorgeous Goodies site; there are a lot of scrummy items that very well may end up on your Christmas list. I know I’d love to have one of the Bathrobes to snuggle up in. It might be more trendy than my current morning wardrobe! I received 2 t-shirts from the Pick ‘n’ Mix Bag of Sweeties. You can select any of the items from that category and they will be packaged in a lovely cotton bag for you. The products are 100% organic, ethical and fairly traded. A 50p donation to The Meningitis Trust from the sale of every product with a retail value of £15 or more makes for a very worthy purchase, especially at this time of year.
- STRENGTHS: The two t-shirts we received are lovely. They are organic cotton and one t-shirt is long sleeve while the other is short with a simply elegant design in the middle of the chest…Sweetpea and Sweetheart. Gorgeous for the Little Miss! The t-shirts were packaged in a cotton bag and tied with a cute gingham ribbon which makes for a lovely present to open. I’ll be able to put the cotton bag to use for Little Miss as well…I’m thinking In the Night Garden characters or colour crayons!
- WEAKNESSES: There are no weaknesses with the products, shipping, packaging or website. The only thing to note is that the prices are certainly not Primark prices but you are paying for an ethical, fairly traded, organic product that is of a high quality. It’s nice to have a treat once in a while! Add Gorgeous Goodies to your child’s Christmas wish list for something special from the relatives…they can afford it!
- OPINION: I really enjoyed the entire package that Gorgeous Planet/Gorgeous Goodies presents. They are customer service oriented, the website is pleasant and comforting and the products are first rate. I was happy to be introduced to Gorgeous Goodies and would highly recommend that you check it out!
- TECHNICAL STUFF: The short-sleeved “SweetPea” t-shirt is £10 while the long-sleeved “SweetHeart” t-shirt is £15. You will pay postage but that varies depending on the total order. 50p from every sale of £15 or more is donated to The Meningitis Trust.

Bambino Merino
![300dpi_logo[1] 300dpi_logo[1]](http://cafebebe.co.uk/reviews/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/300dpi_logo1-300x284.jpg)
When contacted by the PR representatives behind Bambino Merino, I was eager to accept their offer to trial the Bambino Merino sleeping bag and pyjamas. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Bambino Merino and was happy to have chief tester, Little Miss, get a trial of such a well-known product.
- STRENGTHS: I have never felt such soft fabric in my life! The fabric of the pajamas and sleeping bag is merino wool, 100% natural from New Zealand which allows for temperature regulation in any climate. Parents will also appreciate the fact that it is naturally odour resistant which means less washing and is machine washable. Eco-friendly parents take note…merino wool is a sustainable resource so is kind to our environment. The Bambino Merino sleeping bags are designed for year-round wear which means you don’t need to keep in mind what TOG to buy for each season. You adjust layers underneath the sleeping bag to accomodate any variance in room temperature. The people at Bambino Merino even provide you with a handy card to let you know just what layers to wear under the Sleeping Bag. The Bambino Merino Pyjamas we received for review were ivory & sage and two-pieces. Little Miss is getting to the stage where a full, footed sleepsuit is not necessary. The Bambino Merino pyjamas are a perfect fit for Little Miss; lightweight yet heavy enough to keep her warm without blankets. Bambino Merino do more than sleepwear…you can get an entire wardrobe for your child if your budget is ready for it.
- WEAKNESSES: The Bambino Merino Sleeping Bag is HUGE! It’s meant to fit a 2-3 month old baby to a 2-year-old child. A 2-3 month old baby would be very tiny in this bag but with the poppers under the arms, the sizing shouldn’t be a problem. The price is a bit steep (£49.95) but considering that you can potentially have your child in this from infant to 2 years old and that most households have 2-3 sleeping bags, the price is not all that outlandish. The merino wool requires a special wool detergent only; you can’t just pop them into the wash with like colours. However, due to the fact that the merino wool is so durable and odour-resistant, you do not need to wash it as often.
- OPINION: The Bambino Merino products are gorgeous! I wish they made adult sleepwear. Little Miss was warm and comfortable and looked great as well. Admitedly, the prices are a bit on the high side- £24.95 for the pyjamas- but for a gift or a splurge, you can’t go wrong with Bambino Merino. I’ll be waiting for the adult fashions to hit the High Street. I probably won’t be able to afford them but a girl can dream, can’t she?
- TECHNICAL STUFF: RRP- Pyjamas = £24.95, Sleeping Bag = £49.95 or 2 for £89.90; Sleeping Bag fits from 2-3 month olds to 2 year olds; Pyjamas are in ivory/sage, petal and sky colours and fit ages 1-2 and 2-3.
- RATING: 4.5 out of 5 ( only minus point is for price for us personally)
