Now that Ella is back in school, Sam and I spend a great deal of our day together…just the two of us! From approximately 9:15am-3:15pm it’s just US. On Thursdays we head to a local play place for a fantastic play group that both of us adore but the rest of the week, we muddle through finding new things to do and having fun. We’ve given Sam a LOT of freedom in his young life so far and as a result, at nearly 23 months, Sam is very proficient at riding his Micro Mini scooter. Challenged to find our own #littleadventures by BritMums and Barny snacks, we set out one morning for a ride around the village.
We found sunshine, apples, snails, feathers, doggies, lorries, buses, clouds, dandelions and special dens. Bless his cotton socks, Sam managed to scoot around the whole village happily. He’s got strong little legs it would appear. We finished up our #littleadventures with a Barny snack in the green across the road from our house. Energy restored, we explored the “dens” created by neighbourhood children and found a few treasures to take home. We may not have found many creepy crawlies but we had a pretty brilliant hour out of the house.
This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Little Adventure Challenge’ in partnership with Barny, the bear-shaped snack providing a little discovery in every bite. Find out more about Barny here. Thanks to BritMums and Barny for encouraging us to get out and about with a bit of nourishment. We were provided with Barny snack cakes and a very special #littleadventures kit to better explore our garden and surrounding environment. Ella was very quick to capture a nearby grasshopper (named Louis) and introduce him to the Bug Den. I’m sure Louis was pleased!
What adventures do you get up to with your little ones?
Disclosure: This post was written as an entry for BritMums ‘Little Adventures Challenge’. I am in the running to win a luxury rustic family holiday adventure at Featherdown Farm or one of 3 Argos vouchers. I’ll keep you posted if either of these happen. My words are my own and our adventure was brilliant. I was not paid to participate in this challenge, however, we did receive Barny snack cakes and an adventure kit for doing so.
