Morphy Richards, I’m addicted to vacuuming!
A couple of weeks ago our first product for the Morphy Richards Innovator Programme arrived. Originally we were supposed to test and review an iron. As I don’t iron, Morphy Richards was kind enough to send us the Never Loses Suction Lift Away Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner. I’m not the queen of housework but let me tell you, after giving this vacuum a whirl I am well and truly reformed. In fact, I’m addicted to vacuuming. Pretty much every morning, before Mark leaves for work, I can be found whizzing around the downstairs, giving all surfaces the once-over with the Morphy Richards vacuum! I think the main reason I’m so addicted to vacuuming now is that the Never Loses Suction vacuum is so lightweight and easy to manouevre that I can finish vacuuming ANY surface within minutes.
When I opened the box to assemble the Never Loses Suction vacuum, I was a little intimidated. The true test, for me, to the genius of a product is whether you can put it together with limited assistance from the manual. I had to look at one or two diagrams but ultimately, had everything put where it belonged within 15 minutes. I have to say that the looks of the Never Loses Suction Lift Away Bagless Upright Vacuum is a bit space age. The colour is lovely (ours is purple) but my husband was not a fan of the design. Also, when stored upright, it is a bit wobbly and should be kept clear of toddler hands as it will tip over easily. The only other negative, for me, is the noise level. The sound, when you turn the vacuum on, is pretty standard vacuum noise but when you kick into gear on carpet the noise becomes twice as loud. It sounds a bit like a piece of power equipment. So you probably wouldn’t want to vacuum while the children are sleeping. Darn.
Our regular vacuum in our house is a Dyson. We got it for Christmas one year from my inlaws. It was much appreciated! I love the Dyson BUT it is big. It is heavy. It is not fun. It does clean the floors but it’s not pretty. I like pretty! I have vacuumed more in the last 3 weeks than in the last 3 months. The main reason for that is because the Morphy Richards Never Loses Suction Lift Away Bagless Upright Vacuum is lightweight, goes easily under furniture, is a zippy little thing, has an extra-long cord which means you can vacuum farther and longer and has a lift away can that allows you to easily vacuum stairs and other surfaces. Our carpets seem more clean and there’s less dust and dirt around. Maybe that’s because I’m vacuuming more but I feel that the Morphy Richards Vacuum actually sucks better than our Dyson. Shhh, don’t tell Mr Dyson!
At £199.99 RRP it’s not cheap but the Morphy Richards Never Loses Suction Lift Away Bagless Upright Vacuum is worth it in my humble opinon. I’m off to vacuum the upstairs now! See you soon for the next great Morphy Richards Innovator Product Review!
