A Day Out with Daddy

Today was a brilliant day. A Day Out with Daddy!

Hubby had a few days of holiday left so he decided to take the beginning of this week off to spend with his two favourite girls. Tomorrow is Hubby’s birthday so we’re heading out again to enjoy what will hopefully be a sunny, warm, delightful day full and fun, smiles and giggles.

Today, however, Hubby and I walked Little Miss to nursery before heading out on our own little saunter around the village. Hubby finds it hard to TRULY take a day off so while he ventured into work for ONE meeting, I got a bit of work done myself. We collected Little Miss at 1:00, popped to the village shop for a sweetie and then headed to one of our favourite places, Burghley Park in Stamford.

We did a bit of a photo shoot for The Gallery theme for this week (Trees). Well, Hubby and Little Miss were none the wiser but I managed to take 37 pictures of trees. All on the BlackBerry. I don’t think they look too bad…here’s a sneak peek!

It’s days like these where I wonder why I spend any time in our house and remember how much better I feel when I get out in the fresh air and get some exercise. We finished the afternoon with a late lunch at a cafe in Stamford where Little Miss weighed in on how much she enjoyed our day…

I wonder if we can somehow manage to afford having Daddy off with us every day? Hmmmm…
