Freedom!
I am writing this post from my BlackBerry on a WordPress app. My feet are up on the poof, a blanket over my legs as it's rainy and miserable outside. Little Miss is snuggled up next to me and the kettle's boiling in the kitchen. Freedom!
Freedom from what, you might ask? Freedom from my craptastic craptop that works courtesy of hamster power. Freedom from my desk and chair. Freedom from this house which has held me sucked in for so long.
Little Miss and I have been out and about every day this week. I even managed to go down to London and back on Monday. This is all a great step forward for us and a lot of it is down to being able to take technology with us.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Just get out of the house! What do the emails matter? Well, you see I'm trying to take my blogging and PR work in a new direction so, yes, I do need to have email access. And as I have such a ridiculously craptastic craptop, I can't rely on that to see me through the day.
I finally broke down and got a BlackBerry and am in love. I'm a bit old fashioned in that I need a keyboard to type on so those fancy, schmancy touch screens frighten me. I know I have a lot more to learn about using this BlackBerry but I'm pretty pleased with this new found freedom. As is a certain Little Miss. Thank you BlackBerry!

Yes, I’m looking into new tech for similar reasons too. But given how much I’ve just shelled out on new glasses (vital for being able to move around the room!) think it may be a few more months before I splurge!
Sounds great! A word of warning though, I’ve flirted with the WordPress app for iPhone and iPad and it’s very unstable: it crashes quite frequently and has randomly deleted a draft I’ve been working on more than once – hence I don’t use it any more! It may not have the same issues with Blackberry but thought I would warn you just in case. I now draft posts in Evernote mobile and copy and paste them online in the evening. HTH
Whoop whoop!! hope you enjoy your new toy

I have not tried this in wordpress but used to do it all the time in blogger, and I know you CAN do it in wordpress, which is to set up an email address so you type an email, email it to that email address and it then automatically posts your post as a post. <– can you see I did a degree in writing? the synonym skills of a gnat.
Might be worth trying too, if the wp app is not always successful – never a bad idea to have a back up with this technology lark!
How perfect….a beautiful sleeping granddaughter, your new technology, and my “old” friend…..Sinji….attempting to find his way to the front seat…..great way to end my day.
Love…..
I’m so glad its working – welcome to the wonderful world of on the go technology!
