My Best Friend
Another Wednesday Writing Workshop from Josie at Sleep is for the Weak is upon us and the writing prompts were good ones again. I chose the last item, however, “Tell us about your best friend”. Here goes…
My Best Friend is:

My Hubby and Me
My lovely husband. You see, when I got to thinking about it, my husband truly is my best friend. He’s the one I turn to when I’m troubled, he’s the first one I call if something is going well, he gives the best hugs and cuddles and he loves me “just the way I am” (Thank you Mark Darcy from Bridget Jones) despite my many flaws and shortcomings. My husband isn’t afraid to show me how much he loves me and when I’m frustrated or upset, he tries to solve the problem and is staunch in his defense of me. I never knew what love truly was until I met my husband…he has brought so much to my life that I never knew I was missing.
My husband makes me laugh, drives me insane and makes me a better person all at the same time. And he suffers my flights of fancy, my off-on-a-tangent ramblings and my incessant room re-arranging. My husband made me a mother which is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. We made a beautiful baby who lights up both of our lives. My husband is patient and kind, funny & crazy, tender and loving, sensitive & thoughtful. What more could a girl want? Here are some glimpses of the man I call my best friend:
